Summary

Perform quantitative risk management analysis and modeling to identify and measure risks associated with market interest rates on the secondary marketing salable mortgage pipeline. Perform frequent intra-day analysis using current market interest rates and security prices to measure and analyze the interest rate risk on the mortgage pipeline using the Quantitative Risk Management (QRM) mortgage banking application. Perform behavioral model monitoring, and calibration by applying statistical tools and methodologies. Thrive in a dynamic team of mortgage banking professionals handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

Huntington is seeking a Capital Markets Analytics Specialist to join our Consumer Finance Secondary Marketing team. This individual will participate in all aspects of the mortgage salable pipeline risk measurement, reporting, and model ongoing monitoring in a strong team-oriented working environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Production and analysis of daily salable mortgage pipeline reports, including data sourcing, market value simulation, profit/loss sensitivity to changes in interest rates, MBS pooling and results communication to key stakeholders

Ongoing operation of the mortgage analytical framework, including data accuracy, change management configuration, and quarterly system upgrade

Behavioral model maintenance and monitoring, including back testing, sensitivity testing, model documentation all in alignment with internal and supervisory model risk management expectations

Perform mortgage pipeline data driven analysis and reporting to inform decision making on profitability and income generation

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as finance/economics or STEM

Minimum of 1 year experience in risk analytics or quantitative modeling

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a regulated financial institution

Exposure to mortgage banking concepts

Experience using QRM, SQL, SAS, Python, Power BI, etc.

Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders verbally and in writing technical topics distilled for non-technical audience
