Individual contributor position responsible for routinely supporting safety and efficacy studies on product formulations. Will collaborate with clinical research laboratories to coordinate study methodologies, establish protocols, start and lead all aspects of testing schedule achievements, and interpret results. Prepares and maintains documentation compliance of study protocols, reports, and data files. Report issues to leadership and takes appropriate action for issue resolution. Collaborates with laboratories and appropriate cross functional teams to develop and share safety and performance expectations. Supports R&D and Regulatory as needed.
Responsibilities
Clinical Program Execution
Responsible for managing specific program categories
Complete system processes: Safety Database, System/Study Trackers
Follow departmental SOPs and support SOP drafting and revision activities
Responsible for individual and functional departmental metrics
Support continuous improvement opportunities and training and development of team members
Contract Research Organization Management
Coordinate and manage placing safety and efficacy studies at CROs.
Follow Good Clinical Practice guidelines
Support CRO monitoring and auditing processes
Support budget process and assist with cost negotiations and quote execution
Review and implement study protocols and analyze study data and design summary files and data tables
Communicate study results to cross functional teams
Monitor and support testing logistics of team members
Responsible for data collecting and recording into testing database
Support issues resolution and talk to CROs to facilitate testing as needed
Special Projects & Research Opportunities
Support testing discussions with cross functional partners and CROs
Conduct research initiatives to establish testing process
Gain functional understanding of desired goals and inputs
3-5 years of experience in a formula-based consumer goods industry (cosmetics, personal care and cosmetic-drugs preferred)
Experience in clinical safety and GCP preferred
Project management skills
Problem solving skills
Comfortable performing dynamic projects along with day-to-day activities
Ability to establish credibility and make wise decisions
Strong communication skills
Able to interact with all levels of personnel and management (internally or externally)
Strong organizational abilities
Demonstrate ability to work optimally within a team environment.
Education
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, Biochemistry, etc) is required at a minimum
