Responsibilities:

Install underground utilities, including fiber optic cables, conduits, and pipes in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.

Perform Cable Pulling duties: Pulling, routing, and termination various types of cables, including fiber optic and cable cables in outdoor environments, and set handholds

Perform general labor tasks such as cleaning and preparing construction sites, loading and unloading materials and equipment, and erecting and dismantling scaffolding and temporary structures.

Assist skilled tradesmen and other crew members in their duties related to outside plant (OSP) construction and HEO operations.

Ensure a clean and safe work environment by adhering to OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and project safety plans.

Interact professionally with customers, trade partners, and suppliers/vendors, maintaining a positive and professional attitude on the job site.

Perform other maintenance duties as they arise, such as equipment troubleshooting, site cleanup, and support activities for HEO and OSP construction.

Responsible for daily job site clean-up, ensuring that all equipment and materials are properly stored and secured.

Education and Experience:

Education Level: High School/GED

Experience: 1-2 years of relevant job experience, particularly in cable pulling / installation

Skills & Requirements:

Previous experience in fiber and copper cable installation

Physical strength and stamina to operate heavy equipment and perform physically demanding tasks; ability to lift 50 lbs.

Preferred Knowledge of heavy equipment, trenching operation, and various HEO techniques.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, taking initiative and demonstrating a positive, can-do attitude.

Open to direct instruction and constructive feedback to improve skills and job performance.

Flexibility for changing tasks and assignments in a dynamic work environment.

A willingness to learn new skills, attend technical training, and adapt to evolving construction technologies.
