What You’ll Do:

Working under the guidance of the Contractor Relations Manager, you'll conduct on-site inspections of residential properties to gather accurate information about the structure, including layout, dimensions, and building materials. This is more than just a technical role—your work ensures that homes are safe, energy-efficient, and compliant with health and safety standards, directly impacting the wellbeing of our clients.

In This Role, You Will:

Perform in-depth home evaluations and indoor air quality tests.

Analyze results from diagnostic tools and confirm contractor work aligns with energy-saving goals.

Ensure all projects meet program standards and health/safety regulations.

Maintain accurate records and handle sensitive data with care and confidentiality.

Represent CEDA professionally in the field and build positive relationships with clients and contractors.

What We’re Looking For:

Required: High school graduate or equivalent (GED)

Must have a valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and auto insurance that meets State requirements.

Must be BPI/HEP Energy Auditor certified.

Must be certified by the State of Illinois or become certified after participating in training given by the State of Illinois and CEDA within one year of employment.

Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

A professional, approachable attitude and sound judgment.

Ability to work independently, stay organized, and respect confidentiality.

If you enjoy working in the field, using your knowledge to solve problems, and want a meaningful role that helps families thrive—this is your opportunity to make a difference.
