Alter Trading is looking for an Operations Management Trainee to join its team. The goal of this position is learn to manage and oversee all operations at a metal recycling processing facility. Previous Supervisory, Management or Leadership experience is required.

ABOUT THE JOB:
Under the direction of the Regional Director of Operations, responsible for learning all activities including planning, maintenance, staffing, training, and operation associated with the safe and efficient functioning of the facility.
Supervise employees and schedule work in yard and on road jobs on a daily basis.
Operate and/or oversee scale and daily purchases.
Schedule and organize pick-up of incoming loads; order outbound shipments and/or schedule and dispatch contract carriers, as required to support production schedule.
Review sales orders and production to ensure all scheduled orders are filled.
Monitor quality of incoming material, processing and packaging, to ensure customer specifications are met.
Maintain daily inventory and position report; input industrial move tickets into SAI system.
Complete month-end reports for all yard functions, including Scrap Projection Report on inventory available to sell; create monthly forecast for yard sales.
Operate equipment to assist in yard functions as well as future training.
Help drive a culture of safety throughout the yard.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Future Relocation may be required in 8-12 months.
