The Incoming Inspector will inspect first article and sampling of inventory of clever devices designed cables, harnesses and metal products. The inspector will complete and record QA documentation specific to the inspections. The inspector will complete, document and transmit Corrective Action Requests (CAR’s), when applicable, and transit them to our various vendors. This position can develop into also inspecting, on a physical and electrical level, clever devices electro-mechanical assemblies.
Primary Responsibilities:
Detailed inspection of cables, harnesses and various metal products to released drawings.
Electrical test of harnesses and cables.
Feedback to vendors and Clever Devices on cable, harness and metal issues.
Meet daily inspection requirements to a released schedule.
Maintain and record Inspection documentation.
Create and release CAR’s.
Light electrical/mechanical rework of harnesses, cables and metal products.
Travel to vendors and other locations as necessary
Skills Required:
5 years or more experience as a Technician / Inspector in the electro-mechanical industry.
Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Experience in welding and soldering
Experience using a Multi-meter and Oscilloscope.
Experience using a caliper, microscope, gages to measure bore, thread, etc physical dimensional measuring tools such as tape measures, and marble tables.
Experience working with PCBs,
Strong organizational skills
Good business judgment
Strong written and oral communication skills
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to work as a member of the team
Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines in a complete manner
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize
Strong computer skills including Windows OS, Excel, Word, and ability to learn new software programs such as Axapta. Linux experience a plus.
Technical Degree required, Bachelors degree preferred.
