About the Job:
The Compliance and Operational Auditor is responsible for evaluating TRG’s direct and agent operations to ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations. Utilizing established professional auditing standards, the Auditor will identify compliance gaps and operational risks, supporting the organization’s commitment to integrity and continuous improvement. This role is primarily focused on operations in Texas, with occasional responsibilities in other states as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES/SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES
Obtains, analyzes, and appraises information as to the extent of compliance with established policies, procedures, plans, laws and regulations.
Conducts assurance reviews of assigned organizational and functional activities/units.
Conducts audits within the parameters of the approved engagement work program.
Reports engagement observations during the course of the audit in a timely manner and provides constructive recommendations for consideration that can correct unsatisfactory conditions and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Assists with special projects and assignments exclusive of the audit work assigned by Audit Management.
Assists in the formulation of a final opinion on those activities reviewed through the application of operations knowledge and an understanding of audit engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree preferred in business-related disciplines such as business administration, finance, accounting, information systems, compliance, or audit. Experience within the industry or a settlement services-related field as well as knowledge of Texas insurance laws and TDI regulations is preferred.
Minimum of one year experience in compliance or audit. Experience within the industry or a settlement services-related field may be substituted for this requirement.
Requires strong organizational skills; be detail oriented; able to demonstrate solid analytical, problem solving and communication skills; be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently as well as interact with all levels of our organization.
Must be able to travel across the United States at least 20% of the time.
(Ideal candidate will have one year of auditing experience and/or title and closing/escrow experience).
