Second Nature Brands is on a mission to grow from $500M to $1B over the next several years through an aggressive combination of M&A and organic growth. Reporting to the HR Manager, the HR Generalist will perform daily HR functions including employee relations, new hire orientation, timekeeping, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. This is a daily on-site role, Monday-Friday, at our Kar's Nuts facility in Madison Heights, MI.
Key Responsibilities:
Reviews daily time and attendance in order to process payroll in a timely manner.
Facilitates new hire orientation and onboarding.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance management; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Works closely with the Talent Acquisition Specialist to facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions;
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Experience with ADP Workforce preferred.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required.
1 to 3 years’ experience in human resource generalist role.
