Class A CDL Driver Position summary: Part-Time
Drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck to transport and deliver equipment between manufacturing facilities and retail locations.
Class A CDL Driver Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Check vehicles to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service/repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking to make sure vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
Load outbound freight utilizing lift equipment.
Perform material handling functions when not on deliveries.
Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Class A CDL Driver Experience and Education:
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate),
One year of commercial driving experience,
Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License,
Ability to meet DOT certification requirements,
Satisfactory driving record
