Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
SUMMARY
The Resident Service Technician is responsible for performing supervised and unsupervised work with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards, as well as assisting other technicians.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist customers as needed.
Diagnose and repair of Cummins, Cat, and Paccar engines along with Eaton and Meritor carriers and transmissions.
Perform chassis and electrical repairs, primarily on Peterbilt products.
Identify warrantable repairs and complete repairs within SRT guidelines.
Communicate with the customer, management team, and other service department employees.
Communicate with the Parts Department to obtain necessary parts.
Perform warranty repairs per OEM guidelines and manage warranty retention parts.
Documents, with a high regard to detail, all work performed and recommended on the repair order.
Road test vehicles, as needed, to ensure customer satisfaction.
Work in a team environment by assisting other technicians in major repairs.
Participates in manufacturer sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
Communicates what specialty and shop tools are needed and maintains inventory and condition of tools.
Maintain safe work environment.
Maintain professional appearance.
Consistently maintain high productivity and efficiency to ensure profitable operation.
Utilize Decisiv and Procede business systems to communicate with customer and dealership support.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
5 years of prior heavy-duty truck experience required; CAT, PACCAR, and Cummins engine experience preferred, but not required. Must have the necessary supply of hand tools to complete repairs.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required; PA state inspection certification preferred, must meet company insurability standards. Valid Driver’s License required; must meet company insurability standards.
