Job Summary

The Test Operator will support the testing of company products for internal and external customers. Major responsibilities include testing of components by hand or with automated test equipment, troubleshoot faulty test equipment, maintain relevant documentation, and work with Test Engineering to close any gaps in hardware and software needed to test components. It is not necessary to meet all job requirements to be a qualified candidate for the position.

Responsibilities:

Test components by hand or with automated test equipment.

Collect test data and distribute or archive as needed.

Recognize abnormal test results as they occur and make decisions on whether to continue or stop and troubleshoot. Escalate to engineering as needed.

Assist other technicians as requested to test components or troubleshoot test hardware.

Study, understand and implement all relevant company specs.

Write a daily report (passdown) on status of lots probed during the shift.

Coordinate with test engineers as needed to close any gaps in hardware and software needed to test components.

Assist as needed in other areas of HQ Operations.

Qualifications & Requirements (Education must be included):

High school diploma is required. Certificate in Electronics, Computer Science or related field is desired.

Experience working in test operations in the semiconductor industry is an advantage.

Proficiency in Excel and Outlook as well as basic computer operations.

Willing to work on weekends or evenings occasionally.

Compensation Range : The expected wage range for a new hire into this position is $20/hr to $25/hr.

The actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
