Shift: 2nd Shift (M-F From 3pm-11pm)
Salary Range : $82K to $90K based on experience.

The 2nd Shift Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production operations during the second shift, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and efficiency standards. This hands-on leadership role includes managing production, baking, and packaging functions through direct supervision of shift leads and collaboration across departments. Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development
· Provide strong leadership to production teams to ensure operational excellence.
· Supervise and coach 2nd shift line leads (Prep and Packaging), fostering leadership development and accountability.
· Build and maintain a team culture focused on safety, quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
· Collaborate with HR to drive employee engagement, training, onboarding, and development initiatives.
Production Oversight
· Manage end-to-end operations of prep, baking, and packaging on the 2nd shift to meet production targets and customer expectations.
· Monitor daily KPIs, including yield, efficiency, downtime, and quality performance.
· Oversee ingredient processing in collaboration with the Materials Department to ensure timely and accurate batching.
· Facilitate SKU changes and seasonal production shifts in coordination with Planning and R&D.
Operational Excellence
· Implement and sustain Lean manufacturing principles to drive process improvements, reduce waste, and improve throughput.
· Partner with cross-functional teams (Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Materials, and Sanitation) to resolve issues and optimize performance.
· Maintain compliance with cGMPs, HACCP, FSMA, and customer specifications.
Compliance, Safety & Reporting
· Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing company policies and OSHA guidelines.
· Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
· Maintain accurate and timely production documentation, including shift handoff reports and performance summaries.
· Support and participate in internal and third-party audits (FDA, Health Dept, SQF, etc.).

Required Qualifications:
· 2–3 years of supervisory experience in a food manufacturing or production environment.
· Demonstrated knowledge of food safety regulations (GMP, HACCP, FSMA).
· Proficiency in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and decision-making.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with all levels of the organization.
· Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· Physical ability to stand or sit for extended periods and work in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Business, Operations Management, or related field or match worked year experience .
· Experience with Lean Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
· Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for production tracking and inventory management.
