Job Description

Salary Range: $33.29 - $39.63

Job Summary:

We are on the lookout for an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic team as a Staff Scheduler within the Organizational Scheduling Office. This pivotal role involves collaborating with leaders and staff from various hospital departments, ensuring efficient scheduling that aligns with departmental needs and collective agreements.

As a master of our scheduling software, tools, and processes, you will play a crucial part in supporting optimal staffing across CMH while fostering an environment of continuous improvement. This position offers exceptional career development opportunities within the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Master Schedule Creation: Develop schedules that meet departmental needs and adhere to collective agreements.

Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all scheduling activities comply with hospital policies and labor agreements.

Collaboration: Engage closely with department leaders and staff to fulfill program-specific staffing requirements.

Workforce Planning: Contribute to workforce planning by assessing and addressing staffing demands.

Software Proficiency: Exhibit expertise in our scheduling software, tools, and processes to streamline all aspects of the scheduling workflow.

Process Improvement: Actively participate in identifying opportunities for process improvement and innovation.

Skills & Qualifications:

Minimum one-year experience in healthcare staffing/scheduling is preferred.

Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset.

Competency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).

Experience with scheduling software, particularly Time and Attendance solutions, is required.

Ability to manage competing priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong interpersonal skills and cross-disciplinary collaboration abilities, coupled with strict adherence to confidentiality standards.

Preference will be given to candidates with proficiency in Meditech or UKG scheduling software.

Physical Demands:

Frequent data entry, prolonged sitting and standing, occasional bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling. This position contributes to ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
