JOB PURPOSE: The main responsibilities of the Desktop IT and Software Manager are to develop, implement, oversee, and maintain any and all IT and software related needs. These include employee training and support as well as responsibility to put effective methods and best practices into place so that the company runs to its maximum productivity. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills. This role is on location, in Office.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:The Desktop IT and Software Manager plans and administers the control of computer hardware, computer systems and software for multiple entities. They are responsible for ensuring that all duties are performed effectively and efficiently. The Desktop IT and Software Manager maintains all IT relationships and is responsible for all functions of the Maintain Server, Desktops, Network, Software and Hardware either personally or through outside sources.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:The Desktop IT and Software Manager reports directly to the Director of Accounting

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Leadership

Fulfill responsibilities detailed in Expectations for Managers guidelines.

Technology Acquisition & Maintenance

Purchase, set up & install new equipment (which may include Desktops, Laptops, Printers, Network equipment, etc.).

Perform hardware and software maintenance, outsourcing when necessary.

Assist in and/or provide training for employees and new hires in computer operations and the use of peripheral equipment.

Manage and maintain mobile technology.

Responsible for tracking and keeping all licenses current for software used by the company.

Responsible for developing and managing a secure and flexible network.

Develop and execute IT risk assessments.

Ensure protection of the business through internal control, internal auditing and security protocol for all IT items.

Forecast short-range and long-range needs.

Tech Support

Assist users with general computer software problems/questions.

Serve as a technical resource person for equipment maintenance and hardware/software purchases.

Provide all users (office, field, etc.) with related support required to carry out their assigned responsibilities.

Monitor computer software and hardware operating status; ensure that computers, printers, and other peripherals are in operating order.

Manage information system issues and concerns and aid all functional areas as needed. Provide oversight of all IT, Desktop, Hardware and software processes.

Provide support for data base management and report generation, ensuring accurate and efficient data retrieval.

Assist teams in understanding and utilizingPower BI, Excel, and SQL-based reports effectively

Technology Practices & Processes

Evaluate all systems and procedures to ensure that they are in keeping with Best Practices.

Work jointly with department supervisors to improve the working environment and business processes of the company.

Compare performance with operating plans and standards. Provide reporting capability for operating data, the coordination of systems and procedures, and special reports as required.

Develop, manage, and maintain Power BIreports and dashboardsto support data-driven decision-making.

Utilize SQLto extract, manipulate, and analyze data from company databases

Leverageadvanced Excel functions(includingmacros, pivot tables, and data modeling) for financial and operational reporting.

Work closely with different departments tostreamline reporting processes and automate data analysis.
