Summary/Objective
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join our team. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the payroll function for our organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing of payroll for employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, extensive knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements, and excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for employees, including data entry, calculation of wages, deductions, and withholding taxes.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll transactions, including new hires, terminations, and changes to employee records.
• Review and audit payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and reconcile payroll reports, including payroll summaries, tax filings, and other financial reports as required.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, deductions, and taxes in a timely and professional manner.
• Stay up to date with changes in payroll laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to resolve payroll-related issues and improve payroll processes.
• Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and distribution
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in payroll processing, with demonstrated knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Seeking someone that has strong knowledge in the construction industry and has experience handling certified payroll for government projects.
• Experience with payroll software and systems (e.g, ADP, Quickbooks)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred.
