Salary: $80,000 - $95,000

Under the direction of the Executive Director of the Franklin County Community Based Correctional Facility (CBCF), The Director of Resident Services (DRS) serves as an executive leader, responsible for the strategic direction, development, and oversight of reentry services, as well as the implementation of comprehensive treatment aimed at facilitating the rehabilitation and successful reintegration of residents. The DRS will lead a high-functioning multidisciplinary team, ensuring the seamless integration of behavioral management systems (BMS), treatment services, reentry services, and operational protocols. Ensures that areas of responsibility are in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, rules established by the Facility Governing Board (FGB), the Executive Director, and accrediting organizations, such as American Correctional Association (ACA), Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA), and the Bureau of Community Sanctions (BCS) of ODRC. The DRS will provide strategic leadership in treatment planning and will oversee the operational coordination of security and treatment staff to maintain not only a safe and secure, but also therapeutic environment. Additionally, the DRS will drive continuous improvement initiatives across all service areas in accordance with evolving criminal justice research and trends as well as to align with the facilitys vision, mission, and core values.

This role includes responsibilities for advanced staff development, fostering a culture of professional growth, and ensuring the highest standards of service delivery across all functional areas. Responsible for the development and implementation of policy and procedures, standard operating procedures, position descriptions, and memoranda related to assigned areas of responsibility. Researches operational and program issues, such as, but not limited to schedules, staff salaries, business practices, training activities, program development, and then develops related documents and/or recommendations to keep the facility up-to-date, efficient, and proficient in its policies, procedures, practices, and services offered.

QUALIFICATIONS

A Masters degree in Criminal Justice, Social Science, or a related field is strongly preferred; a Bachelors degree is required.

A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive leadership experience in a correctional or rehabilitation setting, including extensive experience managing complex reentry or behavioral health programs.

Strong strategic thinking, organizational, and leadership capabilities with proven success in driving operational and programmatic excellence.

Expertise in case management practices, reentry strategies, and behavior management systems, with a comprehensive understanding of accreditation standards and regulatory compliance.

Extensive experience in managing security operations and ensuring adherence to rigorous safety and security protocols.

Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Proven ability to analyze data, evaluate program effectiveness, and implement solutions to enhance program outcomes and operational efficiency.
