We have an exciting opportunity for a Truck Driver/Utility position at our Racine, WI facility.

Driver Job Summary:

We are looking for a driver to operate a flat bed truck to transport material for our company. As a driver, you must have a safe driving record, follow all state and national driving laws, rules, and regulations. In this position, you will spend 60% of your time in the driver role and the remaining 40% in the shop in the capacity of Utility worker. This position is Monday through Friday with occasional overtime as needed.

Position Reports to: Shipping Supervisor

Pay: Hourly (Non-Exempt), eligible for Overtime on hours worked over 40 per week.

Driver Duties and Responsibilities

Practice safe driving habits, obey all traffic laws

Follow all state and national safety regulations and standards

Plan efficient routes, read maps, follow GPS

Accurately follow routes, maps, and directions

Properly load and unload material

Inspect trailer before and after each delivery

Keep exterior of vehicle clean and presentable

Maintain equipment; replace oil, fill gas tank, perform general motor vehicle maintenance as needed for safety

Manage all maintenance records

Clean windows, windshields, and mirrors as needed

Keep interior of vehicle clean of debris and clutter

Complete documentation such as logs, mileage, and expenses

Document amount and type of material being delivered

Follow schedules and rerouting in a timely manner when faced with traffic or congestion

Report any incidents/accidents immediately to supervisor

Perform other tasks as directed by management

Driver Requirements and Qualifications

Demonstrate safe driving practices

Able to follow verbal directions

Able to work well with others

Reliable and punctual with dedicated professionalism to job and duties

Able to adapt to changing schedules or routines

Excellent time management skills

Organized and able to follow a schedule

Focused on customer service

Ensure accurate delivery of good to customers on time

Positive attitude and professional demeanor

Minimum requirements

High School diploma or Equivalent

Valid driver's license and clean driving record (**CDL NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION**)

Must be able to pass criminal background check

Physically able to lift and carry object up from 30 to 50 pounds

Physically able to reach, stretch, bend, and sit for long periods of time during daily routine

Previous experience driving
