Job Description
Pacific Whale Foundation (PWF) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior HR Generalist to execute the daily operations of our Human Resources department. This role aligns with PWF’s strategic objectives, supporting our mission by managing essential HR functions such as talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, employee relations, regulatory compliance, records management, and systems management.
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Senior HR Generalist will promote PWF’s values with professionalism and enthusiasm, driving HR programs that foster organizational goals. This role supports all administrative functions within the HR department and contributes to the development and execution of HR initiatives.
The ideal candidate will bring at least five years of progressive experience in Human Resources, including at least three years of experience with Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS) like ADP. Strong verbal and written communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and a commitment to confidentiality are essential, along with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups. Certification from SHRM or HRCI is a plus.
Applicants must currently live on Maui or be willing to move here. After an introductory period, this position can come with flexible work arrangements and be somewhat hybrid (10% per month), allowing work from our office at Ma'alaea Harbor and from home on Maui.

This is a regular, full-time, salaried, exempt, possible up to 10% hybrid (on-Maui Island) position.
Pay from $65,000-$85,000 per year, based on skills and experience.
Must possess strong customer service and computer skills, including MS Office, the internet and can learn new technology/applications quickly and be committed to Pacific Whale Foundations mission, vision, values, and strategic plan.
