Position Overview: People Incorporated of Virginia is accepting applications for the position of Program Development Manager. As a key member of the Planning and Evaluation Team, the Program Development Manager will oversee the full lifecycle of grant activities from prospecting and proposal development to grant administration, reporting, and compliance. This position works with staff across People Inc's portfolio of human and community development programs to set priorities and plans for securing grant funding to meet project, program, and budget needs while fulfilling strategic goals. The Manager serves as the primary staff member responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of grant proposals and reports. The Manager works with other Planning and Evaluation department staff to support agency wide planning including annual strategic work planning and development of the community needs assessment. The Manager also provides project management skills for ad-hoc strategic and community-based projects.

Writing skills: ability to write clearly and concisely and adapt style to different funders and stakeholder groups. Excellent grammar and editing skills.
Organizational and project management: ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deadlines. Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize.
Technology skills: the ability to learn and adapt to using Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Monday.com, grant management systems and funder systems.
Team building and collaboration: Ability to direct the work of team members and work productively across internal departments and with external partners and stakeholders.
A bachelor's degree in a related field and at least four years of previous experience with grant development and management is required but applicable skills and experience will be accepted in lieu of these qualifications. Graduate degree in related field and 6+ years of experience preferred.
