Scheduled hours:
1st Shift - Mon - Friday, 6am - 2pm
Key Accountabilities (results expected to achieve):
Meet or exceed plant goals for setup time, downtime reduction, scrap reduction and press optimization
Key Responsibilities (tasks that you do to achieve the accountabilities):
Ensures company standards for safety, quality and customer satisfaction are met or exceeded
Cleans molding machines, machine equipment, and molds
Completes needed documentation for set ups required including but not limited to assignment sheets and nozzle torque sheets
Transfers molds as needed by utilizing overhead cranes, forklifts, and hoists
Sets up molds in molding machine to include auxiliary equipment
Maintains clean workstation and continuously practices housekeeping standards throughout facility
Responsible for installing multi-nozzles, clamps and ready rods
Performs insert changes on vertical presses
Diagnosis of thermocouples and heat related issues
Follows electrical and hydraulic diagrams
Installs hydraulic lines and electrical cords
Rigging molds up to the capabilities of hoist equipment
Performs all other assignments as required
Qualities for Success:
1+ year experience in manufacturing environment
Previous injection plastics experience or Material Handling experience preferred
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with touch screens
Must be able to read and comprehend English
Must be able to follow specifications, simple instructions, and setup sheets
Basic math skills, including calculations and measurement
Able to work overtime hours according to business need
Pays close attention to detail and makes accuracy a priority
Follows set directions and procedures
Able to work with a team or independently
Mechanical aptitude
Knowledge of hand tools and what they are used for
Basic knowledge of hydraulics
Ability to operate a hoist, crane, and fork lift (with company training)
Dedicated to safety for self and others
Problem solver; able to troubleshoot issues independently or escalate when necessary; sense of accountability and sound professional judgement
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
Highly organized and able to work with and direct others
Experience using MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Physical & Mental Demands:
Able to lift 65 lbs up to shoulder height daily on an on-going basis without assistance
Able to lift 50 lbs above head occasionally
Push, pull, bend, twist, and stoop on an on-going basis
Grip and hold parts and hand tools continuously (8 hours)
Use miscellaneous hand tools including manual, pneumatic, and powered
Ability to work with small parts down to a bolt size of ” in diameter
Good hand and wrist dexterity
Visually inspect all parts
Stand and walk for extended periods of time
Must be able to handle extremely heavy items with equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and hoist
Occasionally ascends/descends ladders to work on machinery
Crawl into tight spaces daily (1-2 hours)

Work Environment:
This position is often required to conduct business on the manufacturing floor. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work near moving mechanical parts and could be exposed to chemical or electrical shock risk. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and noise levels that are typically moderate.
