Job Title: Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled welder with expertise in MIG welding and flux-core welding. The ideal candidate will be proficient in blueprint reading, part layout, and fitting up. Weld certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG and flux-core welding tasks.

Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

Lay out parts and fit them up for welding.

Conduct weld tests, including a two F single pass ” and triple pass 5/16” tests.

Complete a written test covering weld symbols, tape measures, and weld deformities.Essential Skills

Proficiency in MIG welding and flux-core welding.

Ability to read blueprints and lay out parts.

Experience in fitting up parts for welding.

Completion of a written test on welding knowledge.Additional Skills & Qualifications

2+ years of experience in MIG welding within a fab shop setting.

Weld schooling can compensate for 1 year of experience.

Prior experience with structural steel is a plus.

Weld certifications are a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a fabrication/weld shop with mandatory weekday hours and optional Saturdays. First shift runs from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm with a flexible start between 5:00 and 7:00 am. Second shift operates from 2:45 pm to 1:45 am. A shift differential of $1.00 applies. Required PPE includes steel-toed boots and specific measuring tools.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Merrill, Wisconsin.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
