Job Description
We are looking for a skilled TIG/MIG Welder to join our team on the 1st shift in Plant 1. The position primarily involves custom TIG welding on fabricated steel structures, requiring proficiency in both TIG and MIG welding disciplines. Candidates must be capable of working from complex blueprints and have the ability to fabricate and weld small to large steel and aluminum structures. The majority of the work involves Pedal TIG welding, with approximately 80% TIG and 20% MIG welding.
Responsibilities
Perform custom TIG welding on fabricated steel structures.
Execute MIG welding tasks as needed.
Read and interpret complex blueprints to fabricate and weld steel and aluminum structures.
Utilize Pedal TIG welding techniques.
Work on a variety of projects, from custom computer cabinets to large frames for the oil industry.
Handle materials including aluminum, carbon steel, and stainless steel with thicknesses ranging from 3/32 to 1/2 inch.Essential Skills
2+ years of MIG Welding experience.
1+ year of TIG Welding experience.
2+ years of experience working off blueprints.
1+ year of fabricating experience.
1+ year of welding experience on aluminum, carbon steel, and stainless steel.
Proficiency in blueprint reading.
Experience with Pulse MIG Welding.
Fit-up welding skills.Work Environment
You will be working in a dynamic environment manufacturing various products, all custom work for large companies in the metro area. Our facility specializes in custom sheet metal products, requiring advanced blueprint reading skills. You will weld a range of items, from small computer cabinets to large frames, using materials such as aluminum, low carbon steel, and various stainless steels. The work environment is dedicated to providing superior products and outstanding service through precision metal fabrication, machining, and structural fabrication. The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $33.00/hr.
