Quality Foreman
Job Description
The Quality Foreman will demonstrate proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and possess knowledge or the willingness to learn about product lines, manufacturing assembly, and the piping and wiring of precision cooling and humidity control applications. The role requires extensive experience in the final/shipping quality assurance process and functional testing procedures. The individual will identify obstacles to the continuous flow of accurate information and quality material, evaluating potential solutions to determine the best course of action based on standard practice time, cost, and safety.
Responsibilities
Ensure teams start on time in their designated work locations within the plant.
Promote a safe working environment and behaviors.
Allocate resources effectively and efficiently, and report any obstacles impacting the shipping schedule.
Lead daily improvement cycles using 5-S and PDCA methodology for continuous process improvements.
Coach team members, assist in training, cross-training, and managing daily job responsibilities.
Promote skill growth and develop coaches within the team, emphasizing positive behaviors.
Share best practices with other team leaders.
Control area inventory, order shop supplies, and manage daily production kit/part requirements.
Ensure tools and equipment in the QA department are in good working condition, replacing and reporting damaged items.
Review and assign work and personnel.
Manage time and resources effectively.
Participate in and assist with personnel reviews and disciplinary actions of team members.
Coach team members in proper housekeeping using Lean tools and concepts like Standard Work and 5s.
Strictly enforce Quality Assurance Procedures as established by the QA Manager.Essential Skills
Proficiency in quality control and assurance.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Experience with calipers and inspection tools.
Knowledge of installation and laboratory procedures.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in lean manufacturing principles.
Ability to manage teams and resources efficiently.

The pay range for this position is $60320.00 - $60320.00/yr.
