Job Description

We are seeking skilled Field Service Technicians for two distinct openings: one for mechanical technicians and another for electrical/electronics technicians. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of industrial machinery across global client locations.

Responsibilities

Install industrial machinery at client locations globally and work at the manufacturing building when not traveling.

Travel nationally and internationally to install machines in various countries including Europe, Costa Rica, China, India, South Korea, Vietnam, and Italy.

Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and work with AC/DC motors and drives, ranging from 480V to 3000V.

Manage the installation of machinery on job sites, collaborating with contracted workers to ensure accurate and efficient installations.

Lay rail, hydraulic hosing, run pipe, lay cable, and test equipment as required.

Maintain and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).

Represent the company professionally, interfacing with clients to ensure timely project completion and addressing issues promptly.

Handle equipment installations ranging from $100,000 to multi-million dollar strip coating, melting, and forging equipment.

Work a minimum of 50-55 hours per week, with potential for 60+ hours, especially during international travel.

Use Microsoft Office and Excel for communication and deadline management.

Utilize hand and power tools, including volt meters and oscilloscopes, for mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.

Travel locally (30%) and overnight (70%) as needed for installations and service calls.

Complete at least 6 months of local training before undertaking independent assignments.

Drive to client sites within 300 miles, using a personal vehicle or rental car.

Perform service calls to troubleshoot and repair equipment at existing client locations with potential for short-notice deployment.Essential Skills

1-2 years of experience in field service, maintenance, machine building, or military mechanics.

Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.

Valid driver's license and eligibility to obtain a passport.

Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

High School Diploma or GED.

Ownership of basic hand tools such as pliers, wrenches, and screwdrivers.

Excellent communication skills for interfacing with clients and supervisors.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Military experience is a significant advantage.

Experience as a radio or radar technician is beneficial.

Work Environment

This role involves working in a large, busy industrial manufacturing floor with a focus on machine building. The environment is fast-paced, with an overflow of work and parts throughout the facility. The position is direct placement, with a shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm, potentially extending to 6 am to 4:30 pm, working 50-55 hours per week. Travel time is compensated, and employees are provided with PPE/Safety equipment, uniforms, and necessary tools for the job.
