The Inspection Programmer is a dual-role position responsible for both programming automated inspection equipment and executing hands-on inspections of received materials, in-process assemblies, and finished goods. Reporting to the Quality Control Supervisor, the role works closely with Engineering, Quality Engineering, Metrology, and Assembly teams to ensure measurement accuracy and compliance with specifications. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented inspection technician with at least two years of CMM programming experience and a strong understanding of ISO or similar quality standards.Key Responsibilities include:
Program and maintain automated inspection routines for Zeiss CMM and Keyence LM-X100TL systems
Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of precision components and assemblies
Interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications, including GD&T
Support Quality and Engineering teams in the development of inspection plans and measurement strategies
Document inspection results accurately and maintain traceable quality records
Identify and escalate non-conformances and support root cause and corrective action efforts
Coordinate with Quality Engineering and Metrology to validate inspection routines and calibration of equipment
Ensure that inspection processes align with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and industry standards
Provide technical support for measurement-related training or troubleshooting within the inspection team
Support programming and integration of additional inspection technologies as new systems are brought onlineRequired Qualifications
2+ years of experience programming and operating coordinate measuring machines (CMM), including Zeiss or similar systems
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality standards and best practices
Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with GD&T
Hands-on experience conducting dimensional inspections in a manufacturing environment
Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft 365 suite of applications
US CitizenshipPreferred Qualifications
Associate's degree or technical certification in Metrology, Quality, or a related field
Experience with Zeiss Calypso and/or Keyence LM-X100TL software
Experience supporting optical or precision mechanical component inspection
Exposure to NADCAP or other regulated industry quality systems
Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
Full-time
