Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator who will be responsible for operating machinery such as band saws and forklifts to cut aluminum. This role involves setting up and operating a plate saw, reading measurements accurately, and using an overhead crane to handle large metal pieces.

Responsibilities

Operate a band saw to cut aluminum.

Set up and operate a plate saw by entering dimensions and material specifications.

Operate a sit-down forklift after full training on the plate saw.

Read and interpret measurements using tape measures, micrometers, and calipers for inspections.

Use an overhead crane to move large pieces of metal upon completion.

Apply metal to customer orders and process materials accurately according to work order specifications.

Maintain processing equipment in a safe and clean condition.

Keep the processing area clean, safe, and orderly.

Accurately complete all required information entry.

Perform any additional tasks as assigned.Essential Skills

Proven experience using a band saw.

Ability to operate a sit-down forklift and overhead crane.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting measurements using tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.

Strong attendance and work history.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in metal cutting.

Ability to lift up to 70 lbs individually and perform team lifts up to 120 lbs.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a warehouse and production manufacturing setting located in Bloomington, MN. The team consists of approximately 6 full-time employees, and the facility is expanding. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hard hats, safety glasses, vests, gloves, sleeves, and steel toes (with a voucher for Red Wing Shoes) is provided. The position is for the 2nd shift, from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with potential overtime before or after the shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $49920.00/yr.
