Maintenance Technician $32 - 36/hr

Job Description

Join a leading company in the automotive industry as a Maintenance Technician, where you will work in both the machining and forging departments. While the machining shop is climate-controlled, expect a hot and dirtier environment in the cold forging area. Responsibilities

Work on CNC Machines, Combustion Heaters, Press Lines, and Forging machines.

Perform the majority of reactive maintenance and undergo training on the 1st shift for the first 4-8 weeks.

Carry out maintenance work on heavy machinery such as forging presses and cutting machines.

Execute all maintenance activities related to mechanical, electrical, and programming work.

Execute mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and programming activities for retrofitting, new machines, and overhauls.

Implement approved machine improvements assigned by the supervisor.

Conduct periodic examinations on assigned machines based on the standard task list.

Provide feedback on any abnormal findings in the standard check sheet in writing.

Escalate safety-related issues to the supervisor and department manager immediately via email or in writing.

Assist the supervisor in root cause analysis of problems.

Support production during startup activities after maintenance completion.

Document machine breakdowns in the system (SAP) on the same day as the breakdown.

Follow and implement 5S rules as per company standards in designated areas.

Use company systems (SAP, MPDV) for documenting and analysis, mechanical, hydraulics, and preventive maintenance.Essential Skills

Experience in maintenance technician roles.

Electrical and troubleshooting skills.

PLC troubleshooting experience.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Cross-training in both machining and forging departments.

Work Environment

Employees will work across both the machining and forging departments, with the expectation to adapt to climate-controlled and hot/dirtier environments. Shifts are available on the 2nd and 3rd, with some overtime required. Safety and adherence to company protocols are prioritized.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Columbus, Ohio.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $54000.00 - $72000.00/yr.

This company provides Medical, Dental, Vision and 401K. In addition they offer holiday pay shut down.

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Columbus,OH.
