Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for reconditioning heat exchange plates, which involves removing old rubber gaskets, power washing, testing for cracks or holes, washing and drying, gluing new gaskets, transferring into an oven, and packaging for shipment.

Responsibilities

Remove rubber gaskets from heat exchange plates using hand tools or liquid nitrogen.

Power wash plates to ensure cleanliness.

Test plates for cracks or holes using a special material and a black light.

Wash and dry plates after testing.

Glue new gaskets onto plates and transfer them into an oven for adherence.

Cool plates and prepare them for shipment.Essential Skills

1 year of manufacturing or production experience.

Attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a team.

Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Self-motivation.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in general labor, packing, production, loading, material handling, manufacturing, hand tool usage, assembly, packaging, forklift operation, and cleaning.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Our manufacturing environment features a very open warehouse with a laid-back team. We operate on a first shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays. The workplace is not climate controlled, and candidates must wear steel-toed boots and jeans. Safety glasses and gloves are provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ankeny, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
