Key Responsibilities:
Develop test plans, validation procedures, and documentation to ensure functional and performance compliance, taking full ownership of the assigned task.
Design, model, simulate power electronics systems.
Designing prototype, debugging, and fault analysis for power electronic systems hardware (Inverters/converters), and optimize.
Collaborate with design engineers to ensure smooth transition from design to validation and production.
Collaborate with mechanical, PCB layout, and firmware engineers to develop and validate design.
Utilize laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, thermal cameras, etc.) to conduct detailed analysis and root cause investigations.
Perform design validation under various operating conditions (temperature, voltage, load profile, EMI/EMC).
Interface with suppliers and internal manufacturing teams for design for testability (DFT) and design for manufacturing (DFM).
Maintain rigorous safety protocols during high-voltage testing activities.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Electronics, or related field.
2+ years of experience in power electronics testing and validation.
Hands-on experience with converter/inverter prototyping, test benches, and debugging.
Strong understanding of DC-DC converters, AC-DC inverters, magnetics, and control algorithms.
Proficiency in using lab instruments and data acquisition tools.
Familiarity with simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, or LTspice.
Experience with standards and compliance (UL, IEC, ISO) for power electronics systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with automated test systems.
Understanding of EMI/EMC testing, thermal design, and environmental validation.
Knowledge of embedded systems and microcontroller-based converter control.
