Shuttle Driver

Job Description

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a reliable and professional Hotel Shuttle Driver to provide transportation services for hotel employees and guests to and from local attractions, and other designated locations. The Shuttle Driver will be responsible for ensuring guest and employee safety, offering excellent customer service, and maintaining the vehicle in a clean and operational condition.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift over 50 pounds.

Ability to sit for long periods while driving.

Ability to navigate the shuttle vehicle in tight spaces and crowded areas.

Job Functions:

Safely transport hotel employees and guests to and from designated locations, local attractions, etc.

Greet guests warmly and assist with luggage loading and unloading.

Follow established schedules and routes, ensuring timely arrival and departure.

Ensure the shuttle vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and stocked with necessary supplies

Provide guests with information about the hotel, local area, and services available.

Maintain a high level of customer service, addressing guest questions or concerns professionally.

Monitor vehicle conditions and report any maintenance or mechanical issues promptly.

Ensure all required documentation, such as vehicle inspection forms and employee trip logs, are completed accurately.

Comply with all safety regulations, traffic laws, and hotel policies

Handles guest’s complaints in a positive manner.

Knows when to communicate guest complaints to the Manager on duty.

Make decisions that benefit the hotel and the hotel guests.

Understands hotels policies and procedures.

Understand how a hotel and all the hotels’ departments operate.

Is able to work with a variety of people without any problems.

Is friendly and courteous towards guests and peers.

Has a flexible schedule and understands the importance of being here when scheduled since we are a 24-hour business.

On time, well groomed, in full uniform for his/her scheduled shifts.

Is able to provide guests with detailed directions and information on local attractions, restaurants, and shopping.

Is able to anticipate guest’s needs.

Keeps lobby and workstation clean and organized.

Knows which department should be contacted in different situations.

Opens shuttle doors for guests and employees

Gives proper pass on during shift change.

Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Must be 21 years of age

Previous experience as a shuttle driver, bus driver, or in a similar transportation role preferred.

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact positively with diverse groups of people.

Strong communication skills.

Ability to work independently and follow directions.

Familiarity with local roads and traffic patterns is a plus.

Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and early or late hours.
