Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Developer with a strong background in application development, deployment, and maintenance within AWS environments. The ideal candidate will also have hands-on experience managing Atlassian tool infrastructure on AWS, along with solid software development and DevOps skills. This role supports enterprise-grade cloud solutions and process automation, ensuring scalable, reliable, and optimized cloud operations.

Responsibilities

· Design, develop, deploy, and maintain applications in AWS, utilizing services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation, and API Gateway.

· Configure, customize, and maintain Atlassian tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) on AWS, including setup, integration, and performance tuning.

· Write clean, maintainable code using Java, Python, or Node.js, adhering to object-oriented design principles and best practices.

· Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and automation tools to streamline cloud-based development and deployment workflows.

· Collaborate with teams to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient software development and cloud operations.

Required Qualifications

· Minimum of 7 years of experience in developing and deploying applications in AWS.

· Proficiency with core AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation, and API Gateway.

· At least 2 years’ experience working with Atlassian tools on AWS, including installation, configuration, and optimization.

· Strong software development experience in Java, Python, or Node.js, and solid understanding of object-oriented principles.

· Hands-on experience with DevOps methodologies, tools, and practices including CI/CD and version control.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

The candidate shall be available to come on-site to the CJIS facility in Clarksburg, WV to pick up equipment and attend in-person meetings as needed. Travel costs will not be reimbursed to support remote telework.
