Surgery - Cardiovascular Physician Assistant

A healthcare group in Langhorne, PA is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) to provide locum tenens coverage in a Cardiothoracic Surgery setting. This is a great opportunity to work in a collaborative hospital environment alongside a leading cardiothoracic surgeon.

Assignment Details:

Start Date: Immediate need (previous PA left 4/23/25)

Schedule: 7:00 AM 5:00 PM with on-call responsibilities

Call Ratio: 1:3 (includes occasional weekday call & 1 weekend/month)

Setting: Primarily hospital-based

EMR: Epic

Patient Population: Adults & geriatrics

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-op physical exams

Rounding & coordination of care

Suture and chest tube removal

Chest tube insertions

Endoscopic vein & radial artery harvesting

Surgical assistance

Diagnosis, treatment, test ordering & interpretation

Prescription writing

Requirements:

Board Certified PA-C Required

Active PA license (Pennsylvania) Required

BLS & ACLS certifications Required

Minimum 2 years of Cardiothoracic Surgery experience Required

Must be skilled in endoscopic vein harvesting & radial harvest
