Job Description

American Medical Staffing (AMS) is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner- Corrections for a Government Services contract position.

Location: Chesapeake, VA

Start Date: June/July 2025

Setting: Medium Security Men's Prison with 1,192 inmates

Pay: Competitive, negotiable, with weekly pay

Schedule: Days, 40-hours per week

Contract Length: 13 to 26 weeks

Candidate Type: Local or Travel (Travel Reimbursement Available)

Requirements: Qualified applicants MUST have at least 3-5 years of experience in the Corrections specialty, have a valid Autonomous Nurse Practitioner's license and be willing to obtain VA or compact licensure.
