Accountant

Venteon was recently engaged in a new search for an Accountant with a well-established company located in Port Huron, MI.

Overview:

This full-time Accountant role is on-site at our client s Port Huron, MI location.

Responsibilities:

The accountant will be responsible for preparing financial statements, managing general accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards

Other responsibilities include budget preparation, financial analysis, and support in audit processes

Responsibilities for the Accountant:

Knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and reporting

Expected to execute general ledger functions, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes

Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (preferably QAD)

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Bachelor s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field

Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
