All ASLCC positions require the following minimum qualifications
1. Be enrolled full-time (minimum 12 credits per quarter) beginning Fall 2025.
2. Maintain a cumulative and quarterly GPA of 2.75 or higher at the time of application and throughout term of
office (First-time students at LCC are exempt from the GPA requirement for their first quarter.)
3. Be available and present at all required Student Government meetings.
Examples of Duties & Responsibilities
A. Executive Director: Be responsible for the management of ASLCC operations as well as the administration and implementation of the ASLCC rules, policies, procedures and guidelines as described in the ASLCC Constitution, Bylaws, Financial Code and other official documents. The Executive Director’s duties include but are not limited to:
1. Preside over all Executive Council meetings.
2. Attend all Board of Trustees meetings. If they cannot attend, they are to find someone to take their place at least 24 hours prior to the meeting.
3. Detail in writing to the Executive Council the report they plan to bring to the Board of Trustees meeting one week prior to the meeting of the Trustees. 4. Attend weekly Governing Board meetings.
5. Prepare and deliver a commencement speech or appoint a member of ASLCC to do so.
6. Put together a final report that includes visual aids to present at the May Board of Trustees meeting.
B. Student Affairs Director: Play a supporting role in the overall management of the ASLCC operation and the administration of ASLCC rules, policies, procedures, and guidelines. Serve as the student representative at college-wide meetings or delegate when unavailable. The duties of the Student Affairs Director include but are not limited to:
1. Preside over ASLCC Executive Council meeting in the absence of the Executive Director.
2. Attend weekly Governing Board meetings.
3. Serve on Instructional Council. If they cannot attend, they are to find someone to take their place at least 24 hours prior to the meeting.
4. Serve on the Curriculum Committee. If they cannot attend, they are to find someone to take their place at least 24 hours prior to the meeting.
5. Chair the Hall of Honors Committee.
6. Develop and organize the Selection Process
C. Administration Director: Serve as the recording secretary, provide oversight and advisory of the governing documents of the ASLCC, and work with the Director of Student Programs and Student Housing to disburse service and activities (S&A) funds. The Administration and Finance Director’s duties include but are not limited to:
1. Assist officers in following the Constitution, Bylaws, Financial Code, individual contracts, office policy, Robert’s Rules of Order, and respond to instances of non-compliance when appropriate.
2. In the event of a dispute relating to the ASLCC Constitution, Bylaws or Financial Code, work with the Director of Student Programs to render a decision resolving the dispute.
3. Serve as the official parliamentarian.
4. Attend all Governing Board meetings and Activities board meetings as necessary.
5. Keep documentation of all verbal warnings, written warnings, and termination letters.
6. Assist with amending, formatting, and drafting all ASLCC documents.
7. Maintain electronic copies of all officer weekly reports in the ASLCC shared folder.
8. Create the Executive Council meeting agenda and keep the minutes.
9. Chair the Budget Committee and Student Tech Fee Committee.
10. Organize the budget process and provide the Executive Council and the Director of Student Programs with a timeline for the budget process.
D. Marketing Director: Will approve and promote all ASLCC materials and events. The duties of the Marketing Director include but are not limited to:
a. Develop all marketing materials for ASLCC in a timely manner.
b. Approve all posters before they get posted on the campus bulletin boards. Ensure all bulletin boards are appropriate and up-to-date
c. d. Use various marketing tools to reach a diverse student body to promote LCC resources and events.
e. Assist co-curriculars, organizations, and clubs with promotional material
f. Post promotional material on ASLCC social media accounts.
g. Make sure all printing projects are sustainable and within printing guidelines before the project goes to print.
h. Attend all Activities Board and Executive Board Meetings.
i. Promote quarterly Welcome Week Calendar and large-scale annual programs.
E. Activities Director: Coordinate and implement campus-wide programming events, oversee Activities Board members, and coordinate with the Marketing Director to promote events. The duties of the Activities Director include but are not limited to:
1. Attend and chair Activities Board meetings. Serve as a liason from the activities board to the governing board and attend governing board meetings.
2. Delegate student government members to coordinate activities throughout the year.
3. Maintain schedule of ASLCC’s activities.
4. Coordinate and implement at least three campus activities each quarter.
5. Coordinate and implement large-scale annual programs in both fall and spring terms.
F. Clubs & Organizations Director: Serve as the main point of contact for all chartered co-curriculars, organizations and clubs (CCOCs). The duties of the Clubs & Organizations Director include but are not limited to:
1. Attend all Activities Board meetings.
2. Hold quarterly CCOC Socials for members and advisors of all CCOCs to attend.
3. Hold quarterly club fairs.
4. Hold quarterly club leadership meetings with leaders from all clubs.
5. Attend at least three different ASLCC chartered CCOC meetings per month.
6. Facilitate inter-club collaboration by organizing joint events, fundraising opportunities, or service projects.
7. Develop and implement a feedback system to collect input from club leaders and members, using this data to propose improvements to ASLCC.
G. Fitness Activities Director: Plays a supporting role in the Executive Council and the planning and implementation of all ASLCC events. The duties of the Fitness Activities Director include but are not limited to:
1. Attend Activities Board meetings.
2. Help with the planning and implementation of all ASLCC events.
3. Work with the Athletic Director to schedule ASLCC Spirit Nights.
4. Plan and implement a quarterly Fitness Challenge.
5. Act as a liaison between athletics and ASLCC.
6. Serve on the Red Devil Wellness Committee.
7. Assist in planning and coordination of ASLCC Intramural Events and Esports
H. Diversity & Equity Director: Recognize, plan, and implement diversity programming. The duties of the Diversity & Equity Director include but are not limited to:
1. Attend Activities Board meetings.
2. Act as a liaison between the Multicultural Club, identity-focused organizations, and Student Government, and attend organization meetings.
3. Act as a liaison between the Sexualities and Genders Alliance (SAGA) and Student Government, and attend SAGA meetings.
4. Attend International Club meetings.
5. Work with the Director of International Programs to meet the needs of international students.
6. Work with the Assistant Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion on diversity programming and awareness on campus.
7. Serve on the Diversity and Equity Committee.
I. Mental Health Advocacy Director: Recognize, plan, and implement programming to promote mental wellness. The duties of the Mental Health Advocacy Director include but are not limited to:
a. Attend Activities Board meetings.
b. Act as a liaison between college counselors and student government.
c. Support the counseling department for a minimum of two hours per week.
d. Coordinate mental health programs and trainings to spread awareness of mental health and resources on campus
e. Plan and implement quarterly mental health check-ins for the student body.
f. Plan and implement quarterly self-care programs.
g. Create and distribute positive and uplifting mantra advertisements around campus.
J. Outreach Director: Recognize, plan, and implement programming to serve underserved populations of students and outreach to campus departments and students. The duties of the Outreach Director include but are not limited to:
a. Attend all Activities Board meetings.
b. Act as a liaison between underserved departments and student populations (BAS programs, nursing, trade programs, etc.)
c. Provide targeted programming to specific student populations as determined by the activities board
d. Partner with academic programs and coordinate classroom presentations with College 101 courses in partnership with the College 101 faculty General
Duties of All Executive Board Members
A. Serve as a voting member on the Executive Council, except when serving as the chair of the Executive Council meeting
B. Represent the students of Lower Columbia College in an ethical and responsible manner.
C. Be familiar with the content of the ASLCC Constitution, Bylaws, and Financial Code.
D. Attend all activities assigned by the advisor.
E. Work a minimum of eight office hours per week. Committee and event hours do not count as office hours. The Director of Student Programs must approve changes in hours.
F. Submit set office hours for the quarter to the Director of Student Programs by the Friday of the first week of each quarter.
G. Submit a weekly report to the Administration Director.
H. Assist with programs put on by ASLCC Student Government unless your absence is approved by the Activities Director.
I. Plan and implement at least one program during “welcome weeks” each term. Governing board members will plan and implement at least one additional program per term. Activities board will plan programs in accordance with their position expectations.
J. Additional duties as assigned by the Executive Council and/or Director of Student Programs.
K. When planning an event, give all necessary information to the Marketing Director at least two weeks prior to the expected date of developed promotional material.
L. Attend one-on-one meetings with the Director of Student Programs.
LCC Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion 2025-2026 Peer Mentors
The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) is hiring three Peer Mentors to support the Diversity and Equity Center (DEC). This student position combines front-desk support with event assistance, helping create a welcoming and inclusive campus environment. Hours: Up to 13 hours/week (8 hours at the welcome desk & 5 hours supporting events, outreach, and student orgs). Typical working hours for this position will be 9:30 AM - 3 PM Monday - Thursday.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist students, answer questions, and help create an inclusive and friendly environment
Support identity-based student organizations with event planning and activity facilitation (e.g., SAGA, CCC, INC, VA, MCC, ASLCC)
Assist with set-up, facilitation, and clean-up of DEC events (based on availability)
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the DEC (wiping down desks, monitoring supplies, etc.)
Answer phone calls and respond to student inquiries
Keep inventory of snacks, giveaways, and general supplies
Help update and create digital content for the DEC TV slideshow
Complete end-of-day procedures (e.g., turn off the TV, clean whiteboards)
Serve as a positive representative of ODEI at campus events and during outreach
Other duties as assigned

LCC Student Housing 2025-2026 Resident Assistant

Position Overview
The LCC Housing Resident Assistant (RA) is a student leadership position designed to foster a welcoming, inclusive, and engaged housing community. This is not a traditional RA role—RAs at LCC primarily serve as peer connectors, activity leaders, and resources for students living in housing. They help build community through programming, check-ins, and positive role modeling while supporting residents from all backgrounds and identities. RAs will work collaboratively with LCC Housing and International Programs staff and maintain a strong presence within the housing community through communication, events, and outreach.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and support housing events that promote community, wellness, and student engagement
Design and distribute event flyers and digital materials
Build relationships with residents and serve as a resource for navigating campus life
Complete quarterly one-on-one check-ins with assigned residents to offer support and connection
Communicate regularly with residents (event reminders, form deadlines, etc.)
Support a welcoming environment for students of all identities and backgrounds
Serve as a role model for healthy, balanced student life (academics, wellbeing, community involvement)
Refer residents to campus resources as needed and assist them in accessing support
Attend bi-weekly check-ins with your supervisor for continued leadership development.
Uphold housing policies, including the overnight guest policy
Attend the Student Leadership Conference (Sept 3–5, 2025) to build skills and connect with other student leaders
Qualifications
Must be a current International Student living in LCC Housing for the 2025–2026 academic year
Must have lived in LCC Housing for at least one prior quarter
Must maintain full-time enrollment (minimum 10 credits) during the academic year
Commitment to the full academic year (September to mid-June)
Maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA (quarterly and cumulative)
Be in good disciplinary standing with the college and housing policies
Remain in good financial standing with LCC Housing

What is a Student Ambassador?
Student Ambassadors are LCC students who represent the college and share their positive experiences to support prospective, new, and current students. Ambassadors think beyond their own journey and focus on helping all students succeed. They play a vital role in our outreach, onboarding, and retention efforts—helping students feel connected, informed, and supported from the moment they consider LCC through their educational journey.
What Do Ambassadors Do?
As an Ambassador, you’ll:
Participate in New Student Onboarding
Plan and host campus events
Support students through phone calls, texts, emails, and Zoom
Promote campus resources and help students stay connected
Provide tours and assist with outreach and recruitment efforts
Ambassadors form positive, intentional relationships with students that help increase engagement and student success across campus.
