MONITORS CONTROL ROOM ACTIVITY
Receives and/or transmits telephone calls, radio communications, pages, overhead announcements and remote intercom messages. Respond to requests for medical assistance or fire responses. Continually observe CCTV systems and alarm interface terminals for alarms, intrusions, and/or suspicious actions. Dispatch Security, Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS and Park and Ride personnel to incident locations and requests for services, and communicate with departmental staff members, employees or external agencies as needed. Monitor access control systems. Ensure collaboration of both proactive and reactive efforts as they pertain to the operation of the WMC Security Control Room in relation to the various divisions of the University Department of Public Safety to assure effective responsiveness to issue as they occur.

SUPERVISES THE SECURITY DISPATCH CONTROL CENTER
Supervises the daily operations of the Security Dispatch Center on the assigned shift. Oversees all duties performed by Dispatchers and Dispatch Qualified Officers on each assigned shift. Evaluates, and makes recommendations for improvement for both staff, and equipment as necessary to the Control Center Supervisor. Assists Control Center Supervisor in the development and implementation of policies, and protocols specific to the operations of the Control Center. Follows up on issues of concern pertaining to Dispatchers and actions performed; interjecting when necessary to ensure proper completion of duties and activities in adherence to departmental standards. Documents and communicates to the Control Center Supervisor; interactions with Dispatchers and Dispatch Qualified Officers specific to performance improvement opportunities. Evaluates actions and conduct, and recommends appropriate corrective actions to be taken as needed. Follows up on issues of concern pertaining to Control Center Equipment; evaluates issues, troubleshoots problems and determines the appropriate actions to be taken to correct the problem. Communicates issues with Control Center equipment directly to the Control Center Supervisor and Shift Supervisor as required. Ensures that the Control Center is clean, orderly and capable of being fully functional 24/7. Must be able to independently and quickly make prudent decisions and give directions to Dispatchers and Officers affecting the Department’s Operation and Medical Center as a whole. Ensures that the computer systems in the Control Center are functional. Some of these systems provide life-saving alarms and must be functioning properly at all times. Troubleshoots and corrects problems as needed. These systems include: ARMS CAD Dispatching System, Matrix Access Control and Alarm Monitoring System, Genetec CCTV Access Control and Alarm Monitoring System, HUGS Infant Security Monitoring System, Simplex Fire Monitoring System, Silent Knight Outreach Alarm Monitoring System, RMS Nuclear Source Monitoring System, 911 Emergency Enunciation System, Medical Gas Alerts and the ORCA / Intelliweb Facilities Alarm Monitoring System. All noted issues shall be reported directly to the Control Center Supervisor and Shift Supervisor. Monitors the Matrix System on a daily basis to make sure that all doors, output points, and alarm points are in the correct setting. Follows up on discrepancies found during daily audits, runs system reports to determine cause, recommends course of action to address the issue and follows through by addressing any issues with staff. Maintains and updates Departmental forms as needed. This includes but is not limited to the Control Center Quality Assurance Checklist, Fire Alarm, Elevator Entrapment, Phone and Intercom Lists. Continually reviews all forms for improvement opportunities; determines changes to be made, implements changes and communicates with staff regarding updates. Must have a thorough knowledge of the Silent Knight Alarm System which includes protocols for over 30 different accounts throughout the Columbus area. Must make prudent decisions and provide direction as needed in response to any alarm received on this system to ensure proper follow-up and notifications. Assists Customers by releasing and/or taking in valuables from patients. These transactions must all be documented in both writing and within the ARMS CAD system. Assists Security and OSU Police Department with investigations by reviewing camera footage in regard to crimes occurring on Medical Center Property. This also includes reviewing camera footage to assist Risk Management with possible legal action taken against the Medical Center. Promotes teamwork through mutual respect for staff, developing positive interpersonal relationships and lending assistance when needed. Maintains professional conduct and promotes a positive image to customers. Promotes a positive departmental attitude and adheres to organizational expectations. Maintains high level of customer satisfaction. Insures that departmental standards are maintained. Reviews all dispatcher reports, runs cards and documentation to ensure compliance with Departmental standards and guidelines follows up and corrects problems as found. Makes recommendations pertaining to corrective actions if necessary and follows through accordingly. Constantly reviews Control Center policies and procedures to ensure efficient day to day operations. Develops and implements new policies and procedures specific to the Control Center as the department grows and evolves. Communicates daily with Control Center Supervisor and the Assistant Director to ensure that all are aware of issues within the Control Center. Assists with the monthly completion and audit of Panic Alarm, Elevator Phone and Intercom checks.

C. PERFORMS OTHER ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES AS NEEDED
Attend departmental meetings. Assist Security Officers, Control Center Supervisors, and Security Administration with special projects. Update Control Center Supervisor, Shift Supervisor and Assistant Director on control room repairs, maintenance and problems. Maintain appropriate inventories and order control room supplies as needed. Respond to emergency or equipment failure calls. Assists Access Control as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be required. Associate degree in relevant field may be preferred. 4 years of relevant experience required. 6 or more years of relevant experience preferred.
