OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Biochar Team Lead to join our innovative and forward-thinking organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial plant operations, maintenance, environmental, related fields, and a proven track record of leading successful projects. As the Biochar Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing our biochar production operations, development, and implementation of strategies. You will play a pivotal role in advancing our mission to create sustainable solutions for soil health, carbon sequestration, and environmental conservation working with different groups as R&D, accounting and planning.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of field workers
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution
Develop and implement strategic plans to advance biochar initiatives
Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment
Manage biochar production processes, ensuring quality and efficiency
Implement best practices and innovative technologies in biochar production
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards
Provide technical guidance on biochar production methods, including pyrolysis technique
Optimize process efficiency and maintenance programs for predictive, preventive and corrective actions
Help troubleshoot and fix components of the equipment
Stay updated on the latest biochar research and integrate findings into projects
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Ideally mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering degree
Technical degree in mechanics, electricity, instrumentation and control or related fields
Minimum 2 years leading industrial plants
Proven experience in biochar production or related fields such as biomass energy or sustainable industrial operations
Commitment to sustainability and environmental conservation
Excellent project management, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner with coworkers and contractors
Work on weekends as necessary
Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites
