Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

Title: Manufacturing Maintenance Technician Location: Virginia Beach, VA Shift: Night Shift Mon–Thurs, 5:00 PM – 3:30 AM Job Type: Contract-to-Hire Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to oversee our production operations during our night shift.

Hours are Monday-Thursday 5:00pm-3:30am.

This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment in a manufacturing facility.

They perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and support continuous improvement efforts to maximize production efficiency and safety.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

Conduct preventive maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and prolong machinery lifespan.

Collaborate with production team to identify maintenance needs and prioritize tasks accordingly.

Assist in the installation, calibration, and modification of machinery to meet production requirements.

Use diagnostic tools, schematics, and manuals to identify issues and implement solutions.

Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation for compliance and future reference.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required, technical certification or associates degree in a related field preferred.

2+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.

Strong Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow maintenance schedules.

Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in a manufacturing environment.

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
