JOB TITLE: Sr Test Engineer – Avionics ATE

ABOUT THE JOB:

We are seeking an Aerospace Senior Test Engineer to support, troubleshoot, and update Test Equipment in the Factory. You will be working with a team consisting of both on-site and remote engineering and technical resources. Currently production is being challenged with some Test Issues, and this team (and this position) is partnering with ISC to identify fixes and areas of opportunity for improvements. You will have daily interaction with your Engineering counterparts, as well as ISC leadership and Engineers.

Such as an Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or rack that contains multiple pieces of test equipment instruments, cabling, ITA’s, power, etc, who’s purpose is to Acceptance Test production avionics hardware

ATE (not product) troubleshooting, analyzing test failures with recommended changes, updates, things to try. Being able to pareto test failures and determine root cause of most commonly occurring issues.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Aerospace industry experience

Systems engineering experience with strong hardware background

10+ years Avionics Test Equipment design experience; specifically for Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or rack that contains multiple pieces of test equipment instruments, cabling, ITA’s, power, etc. whose purpose is Acceptance Test in the production of avionics hardware

10+ years of ATE (not product) troubleshooting and test failure analysis experience

Ability to analyze test failures and provide recommended changes, updates, next steps

Ability to pareto test failures and determine root cause of most commonly occurring issues

Ability to exhibit strong written and verbal communication to articulate summary findings to others and interface with team, leadership, and internal ISC stakeholders

Ability to exhibit strong organizational skills to maintain a RAIL (action plan) with a detailed and methodical approach

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Experience leading a project

Familiarity with DO-160, DO-178, and DO-254 certification Processes

Experience with Embedded Operating Systems

Experience developing code based on a schematic

Experience in Programming Languages such as Python, C, LabWindows/CVI, and LabView

Experience with Test Instruments and RF test equipment

Experience developing Rack Stack ATE, adapters, and cable set
