Phlebotomist

Job Description

Job Summary:

Draw blood from patients of all ages in a high-volume clinic

Will often draw 30 or more patients in a day

Provide excellent customer service to each patient

Will be working with test codes and patient demographic information and entering it into a computerized laboratory system. Having a good comfort level with computers and navigating through different programs is essential for success

Each patient will be taken back by one phlebotomist and that Phleb will do all of their paper work, order entry, insurance updates, drawing, processing, bagging, etc. in one room.

3-5 Must Have Skills/Qualifications

1+ year Phlebotomy experience in IOP, PSC, Hospital, or Mobile setting required (donor/plasma only experience does not count)

Must come from a pre-approved school and externship required

Must have a high school diploma or GED

Nice to Have Skills

Pediatrics or geriatrics experience is a plus

Phlebotomy diploma/certification
