We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as a U.S. Customs Release Analyst.

In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and processing US Customs entries. You must analyze shipment documentation and extract specific information to ensure the timely and compliant release of goods through U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Your work will play a vital role in facilitating a smooth customs clearance process for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and process entry documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading for U.S. Customs release.

Submit entry summaries (CBP Form 7501) and related documents via ACE (Automated Commercial Environment).

Verify shipment details for accuracy, including importer of record, tariff classifications (HTSUS), country of origin, and valuation.

Communicate with importers, freight forwarders, and carriers to gather missing documentation or clarify discrepancies.

Monitor the release status of shipments and follow up on CBP holds, exams, or other delays.

Ensure compliance with CBP and Partner Government Agencies (PGA) such as FDA, USDA, and EPA.

Maintain accurate records of entry filings, releases, and regulatory communications.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

1–2+ years of experience in a US customs brokerage is preferred.

Familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations, HTS classification, and import procedures is a strong advantage.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat.

A familiarity with customs brokerage software (e.g., Descartes, SmartBorder, NetCHB, WiseTech, etc.) is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
