Auto CAD Designer - Entry Level

Job Description

Elite Delaware Sign Company in business over 120 years is looking for an Entry Level Detailer/Designer to join their team of visual communications. This person in this position will work with multiple technologies throughout the day creating all types of signs, from traditional signs to top-of-the-line digital designs.

Monday to Friday 7:00 am - 3:30pm. Pay will be based on experience $20 - $22.

Responsibilities:

Generate a Bill of Materials

Collaborate with Purchasing about available materials

Order items from internal/external sources when needed

Create Cut Files for Router/CNC Equipment using Corel Draw/AutoCAD

Custom detailing using channel letter design, Doorskin and others

Design CAD drawings/artwork for the production floor

Send finished documents to Schedule for release

Create/follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Produce/understand electrical layouts

Gain knowledge of all production machines

Program all machines when needed

Other duties as assigned

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

The following computer skills are required: Corel Draw, Enroute, AutoCAD, Flexi, Sign Wizard

Extensive Microsoft Experience/Excel (required)

Basic knowledge of 5S and LEAN practices a plus

Must have working knowledge of signs/sign components

Be self-sufficient and a team player

Possess great communication skills

Pay strong attention to detail

Express a willingness to learn

Exhibit a strong sense of urgency

Ability to tight deadlines

Must be resourceful

Education:

• Associate Degree in Graphic Design (preferred)

• HS Diploma/GED (required)

Experience Requirements:

• 2- 3 years of experience in a similar positionCompany Description
