About the MomsRising Organizations:

MomsRising Together is a 501(c)(4) virtual organization with staff working around the country. MomsRising Education Fund is its affiliated 501(c)(3) public charity. Our core team of paid staff and volunteers work collaboratively to develop our strategies and campaigns. As virtual organizations, we use conference calls, IM, and email extensively to communicate, to create, and to care for each other. Our team enjoys a results-oriented work environment where the challenges and joys of balancing work, family, and personal time are understood.

Essential Responsibilities:

At the direction of the Senior Director, this position plays a significant role in the development and execution of campaigns within the team’s portfolio.

Works with the Senior Director to strategize on New Hampshire policies that boost families. This includes developing writing outreaches to members in user-friendly language and working in coalition with partners on strategies to move our policies forward.

Works with supervisor and/or other New Hampshire Team members, to craft campaign strategy and implementation plan.

With guidance from the Sr. Director executes large portions of advocacy campaigns, including planning and organizing online and in-person events, drafting campaign plans and outreaches, budgets and coordinating with internal teams (e.g., tech, digital, operations) to ensure smooth implementation.

Helps strengthen campaigns by identifying areas for strategic and operational improvement, proposing and implementing solutions where appropriate, and recognizes when problems arise that need input and decisions from upper management.

Brings decisions and/or recommendations to supervisor and/or relevant upper management regarding overarching strategic decisions in planning and/or partnerships. Also recognizes when problems arise that need input and decisions from upper management.

Assists in management of the team by maintaining key internal systems—including updating the legislative tracker, shared calendars, and campaign tools (e.g., Wins, Greens, Purchases, Events, Story Tracker).

Represents MomsRising Together and MomsRising Education Fund at public facing events and potentially serves as a spokesperson for specific events/activities.

Serves as a point of contact with cross-campaign teams (digital strategy and operations) ensuring efficient coordination and support.

Helps manage member/volunteer relationships through the New Hampshire Team.

Support the New Hampshire Team in identifying and building on opportunities to grow. membership/volunteer base.

Work with the Team in responding to member/volunteer feedback and member/volunteer services.

Work with the Team on leadership development opportunities for members/volunteers.

Work with Team on identifying stories and developing storyteller/volunteer relationships.

Works cooperatively with partners, leaders, and other relevant organizations to advance the mission of specific campaigns and the missions of MomsRising Together and MomsRising Education Fund.

Ensures a unified delivery of campaign messages throughout all levels of communication.

Attends coalition and program partner meetings, conference calls and press events as a representative of MomsRising Together and MomsRising Education Fund.

Maintains effective and collegial relationships with partner organizations including independent problem solving and conflict resolution when necessary.

Coordinates with partners to ensure and amplify the New Hampshire Team’s work within coalition efforts.

Assists in Managing the Campaign Team.

Other assignments as needed to further the missions of MomsRising Together and MomsRising Education Fund.

Qualifications:

3-5 years of related work experience either implementing campaigns and/or engaged in advocacy.

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to use independent judgment and make good decisions in service to the mission including recognizing when to bring issues or concerns to upper management.

Able to work independently, but also be a good team player and team leader.

Experience with working with coalitions and managing political or advocacy or grassroots campaigns.

Experience in leading successful organizing efforts.

Interest in and passion for the missions of the MomsRising organizations.

Ability to make quick decisions during changing circumstances.

Comfortable with a virtual office. Able to communicate effectively via IM, conference calls, and email.

At ease with technology and able to use technology effectively for organizing, writing, and online communication. Email proficiency is critical.

Preferred Qualifications (Not required):

Fluency in Spanish

Experience working remotely

Experience with social media channels and constituent relationship management tools and blogging are desirable.

Salary Range: $67,000-$71,000
