This role is responsible for developing print/digital advertising for final production handoff, marketing materials, in-branch monitor ads, advertising and email graphics, photo selection and editing, and creative development.

Graphic Artist

Support bank’s marketing efforts in the creation and production of print/digital advertisements, print/digital marketing collateral, customer communications, email marketing, and photo editing that brings our brand to life

Design and iterate marketing concepts to ensure all comments and revisions are made before marketing is produced / launched.

Develop new creative assets to bring the brand to life and support our brand positioning

Take existing materials and modify to reflect the evolution of the Union brand

Translate desired creative intent and feedback into design recommendations

Design for different mediums and channels (i.e. print ads and collateral, web, OOH)

Provide comments and direction to external agency partners and vendors

Manage to a list of creative deliverables and their required changes and associated deadlines

Collaborate with and support other members of the creative team in the development of multi-channel campaign assets and content

Deliver production-ready files to internal partners and external vendors, including details on specs

Source and modify photos across internal and external stock libraries to meet our photography standards and support the strategy of the creative request

Understand project/creative briefs, participate in creative brainstorming and collaborate with Creative Teammates and marketing partners

Keep up to date with industry and competitor developments in the marketing space to ensure we stay current and differentiated

Work with Compliance, Legal and Privacy teams to follow the latest regulatory and company guidelines in content creation

Organizational Relationship

This position reports to the Creative Director

Position Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Design, Marketing or related major

2+ years of experience in Marketing, Design, Web Development or related field, inclusive of summer, intern, or hands on course work.

Advanced knowledge of design software that includes Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign/Illustrator/Photoshop). Digital video and animation skillset is a plus.

Knowledge of current trends within financial services, as well as marketing and advertising

Must possess excellent time management skills, communication skills, and a strong work ethic with attention to detail

Knowledge & Skills

Ability to understand and translate Brand Guidelines across traditional and digital channels into compelling creative

Passion for emerging technology and digital trends, including user experience

An eye for sophisticated / modern, yet approachable design

Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a collaborative team

Detail-oriented, organized and able to proactively prioritize work

Microsoft Office

Workflow and other design tools

Salary offered will be based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. This position is also eligible to participate in either an applicable incentive compensation plan for the position or a discretionary profit sharing bonus program.
