Overview: Leap Montessori is seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in childhood development, be supportive and encouraging, and eager to assist in creating a positive learning environment. Experience working with toddlers, assisting with curriculum implementation, and supporting classroom management is highly valued.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in developing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities to engage young learners.

- Contribute to creating a safe and supportive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development.

- Support effective behavior management techniques to encourage positive behavior and interactions among students.

- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support each child's needs and learning goals.

- Assist in assessing student progress and communicating effectively with parents regarding their child's development.

- Provide support in incorporating creative teaching methods to enhance learning experiences and foster a love for education.

- Aid in maintaining a clean and organized classroom conducive to learning.

Experience:

- A background in Early Childhood Education or related field is preferred.

- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting or a strong interest in doing so.

- Familiarity with early childhood development theories and best practices is a plus.

- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

- Willingness to learn and adapt to meet the diverse needs of young learners.

Physical Requirements:

The role may involve standing for extended periods, bending, lifting, and other physical activities related to working with young children. The work environment may have increased noise levels typical of a preschool setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.50 - $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 29 – 40 per week
