The National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) is the U.S. Government agency in charge of designing, building, launching, and maintaining Americas intelligence satellites.

Apogee's ideal Radio Frequency (RF) Engineer will be motivated and detailed-oriented. The RF Engineer will support the design, development, testing, and optimization of RF systems and components. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or engineers with limited experience to grow their skills in the field of RF engineering and contribute to innovative projects that have a direct impact on cutting-edge technologies. What You'll Do
Assist in the design, simulation, and testing of RF circuits, systems, and components
Support the setup and operation of RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, and oscilloscopes
Participate in the troubleshooting and resolution of RF performance issues, including signal integrity, interference, and noise problems
Assist with the calibration and maintenance of RF test equipment
Work with senior RF engineers to perform measurements and analysis to ensure compliance with project specifications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RF systems into larger projects or products
Assist with the preparation of technical documentation, including test reports, design drawings, and specifications
Stay updated on the latest advancements in RF technology and industry standards
Required
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience (internships or academic projects related to RF engineering are a plus)
Basic understanding of RF theory, including transmission lines, impedance matching, and power measurements
Experience with RF testing equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Desired
Knowledge of wireless communication standards (e.g., 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi) is a plus
Familiarity with RF simulation software (e.g., CST, ADS, HFSS) is desired
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Good understanding of electromagnetic wave propagation and antenna systems
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical information
Eagerness to learn and grow in the RF engineering field
