Key Responsibilities as a CDL A Instructor:

Delivering CDL A Instruction: Provide hands-on instruction in Pre-Trip, Yard Skills, and Road Driving

Safety-Focused: Emphasize safe, professional driving practices in every session

Supporting Student Success: Help students prepare for the CDL exam

Local Schedule: Consistent hours with no overnight travel – be home dailyCDL A Instructor Requirements:

ILLINOIS CDL Class A license with 24+ months of verified tractor-trailer driving experience

Clean driving record, with ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol tests

Basic computer skills for scheduling and tracking student progress
