Camera Operator Internship

Job Title: Camera Operator (Intern)

Reports to: Manager of Promotions and Game Presentation

Compensation: Must be able to earn college credit upon completion of the internship.

The Lake Erie Crushers are a professional baseball team that are a member of the Frontier League, a Major League Baseball Partner League. The Crushers established in 2009 are based in Avon, Ohio and their home stadium is Lake Erie Crushers Stadium. The stadium has a capacity of 5,000. Including 11 suites, four-person terrace tables, berm seating, picnic, and patio areas for group outings. The stadium has new artificial turf, concession stands, team shop, state of the art sound system and new video board. Avon is 18 miles west of Cleveland, Ohio, and part of the Cleveland metropolitan area.

Position Overview:

The Lake Erie Crushers are seeking an experienced Camera Operator to join our team for the 2025 season. This position involves operating a wireless or stationary camera to capture high-quality footage of live events. An ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of broadcast production and experience operating professional cameras in a live sports setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate cameras to shoot pregame activities, gameplay footage, in-game promotions, and postgame events.

Capture dynamic crowd shots and fan interactions throughout Lake Erie Crushers Stadium.

Assist with other duties as assigned by the Director of Scoreboard Operations and production team.

Required Skills:

Eligibility to use the internship for college credit.

Enrollment in a Mass Communications, Radio, TV, or related major.

Flexibility to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.

Availability for training with the video production manager on select dates.

Ability to take direction and successfully complete assigned tasks.

Self-motivation, strong organizational skills, and great attention to detail.

Capability to make decisions and problem-solve in high-pressure situations.

Strong multitasking abilities.

Excellent communication skills.

Physical capability to lift up to 75 lbs., bend, reach, and stand/move for extended periods.
