Lead the future of logistics excellence as the Logistics Director at our Westerville, OH headquarters, where you'll spearhead transformative supply chain solutions across the Americas region. In this strategic leadership role, you'll:
• Architect and implement innovative logistics strategies that drive business growth and operational efficiency • Champion continuous improvement through Lean Six Sigma methodologies to optimize warehouse operations and transportation networks • Provide visionary leadership in developing best-in-class logistics practices for both inbound and outbound operations • Lead the design and execution of standardized processes that enhance supply chain performance • Leverage deep logistics expertise to drive operational excellence and cost optimization initiatives • Guide a high-performing team while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Sets performance goals for the operations and communicates with each team member how their responsibilities are integrated into the success of the team
Analyze and improve performance metrics vs the performance goals
Conduct regular control point meetings to review performance and project progress with each Vertiv inbound and outbound operation
Provide leadership to experienced professionals, junior managers, and/or supervisors
Overall responsibility for the logistics, transportation, warehousing and distribution strategy, operating model, talent and execution of work activities for North America
Regularly engages with and supports operations and supply chain functions
Establish policies and procedures to achieve organizational goals and ensure compliance with country specific laws and regulations
Collaborates with Logistics Procurement to establish sourcing strategy for small parcel, less than truckload, truckload, intermodal, ocean, air, and 3PL distribution/warehousing spend
Implement advanced analytics, robotic process automation, transportation management system enhancements and control tower technologies and practices related to the logistics function and key markets
Establish and manage organizational budget
Ensure colleague engagement by communicating goals and objectives and rewarding and recognizing performance of colleagues
Lead key cross-enterprise strategic initiatives
Require detailed oriented mindset to collect, validate, interpret, and analyze complex data, to identify issues and trends to support fact-based transportation decision making
Perform and assist with other duties as assigned
Manages a portfolio of improvement projects including efforts to advocate on behalf of logistics operations with partner functions
Drive freight and handling cost recovery with freight and handling
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
The Logistics Director reports to the Vice President of Logistics and Customer Service. Direct reports include Manager of Inbound Transportation, Manager of Outbound Transportation, Manager of Warehousing. Indirect Reports include Manager of Logistics Procurement, and Manager of International Trade Compliance.
MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS: (Education and Work Experience)
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics or related field
Minimum 10 years of management in logistics
Working knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Travel: 50% travel
