About the role
As the Stock Controller, you are integral to the success of V/Line’s Asset Management & Performance group.
You will support internal stakeholders with day-to-day inventory or repairable queries, distribution and timely coordination including management of materials for maintenance and project works.
Key accountabilities include:
Organizational Skills: Perform warehousing, operations, inventory, and transport-related tasks for depots and projects within given timeframes.
Inventory Management: Manage customer requests, depot replenishments, analyse stock levels, and support dispatch of materials.
Attention to Detail: Coordinate and participate in the cycle count process across depots and other stock locations.
Technical Proficiency: Monitor stock levels, set inventory parameters, and perform relevant system transactions.
Attention to Detail: Maintain accurate purchasing documents and support the Purchasing Officer.
Problem-Solving: Investigate stock discrepancies and implement inventory control regimes.
Stakeholder Management: Liaise with stakeholders to address inventory-related queries and ensure compliance with inventory and storage standards.
Customer Service: Handle customer queries in relation to item master, new item creations, stock availability, back orders, pricing, and lead times
About you
Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
Logistics or relevant work experience in maintenance and supply chain environment
Intermediate to advanced MS Excel
Previous experience using ERP stock management systems such as JDE, SAP
Current driver’s license as this role involves travelling to different sites
Ability to work well in a team and build strong rapport with internal and external stakeholders
